Do people understand why?
Analogy.
If we take chess pieces, for an enemy piece to move forward the player has the option of forward or back. If an enemy moves back the player has the same option. But if the enemy moves forward, if the player isn't ready then there is no combat. If the enemy moves back if the player is ready there is also no combat.
@ =enemy
# = player
% =space
First part of analogy
%#%%@%
%#%@%%
Second part
%#%%@%
%#%%%@
it's between more or less chance. Interesting how probability can manage choice.
